Blazing Brilliance Launches 4th Book Club

Blazing Brilliance launched its first of four book clubs in the summer of 2023. Educator Barnes and her sister Alice Stockton hosted the Stockton Sisters Summer Book Club and will do so again summer of 2024.

During the fall we had our Silenced Stories Book club which was co-hosted by Educator Barnes and Natalie Pipkin of Black Worldschoolers.

Participants engaged in lively and fun conversation about the selected books.

They discussed the impact of the themes in the books and how they show up in society today. Participants had such a great time at the in person meet up in January 2024.

Currently, there is a group of avid readers who are participating in our For the Culture Winter Book Club.

Recently, participants finished reading African Americans in Indianapolis: The Story of a People Determined to Be Free by David Leander Williams, AND they were able to talk to the author of the book!

Today, we have officially opened registration for the Poetic Perspectives Spring Book Club.

Blazing Brilliance will continue having four book clubs per year that coincide with each season of the year.

Consider registering for our upcoming book club if you love poetry or spoken word. Registration will also be available for our 2024 summer and fall book clubs in a couple of weeks.

We are grateful for the people who have joined us for our last three book clubs. Many people have made new friendships that are enduring outside of our club. Join us! You won’t regret it.
