Why is there a registration fee?
The small fee provides a modest stipend for the host, resources, and for the in-person culminating event.
Can you tell me more about the resource guide?
The resource guide provides links to movies, articles, music, art, etc. that connect with each text. The guide also includes discussion questions that participants can use to reflect while reading, in the classroom as an educator, or at home as a parent or caregiver. The resource guide is provided for all club except the summer club.
Where can I purchase the books?
We are partnered with Black Worldschoolers Mobile Bookstore. The link to purchase books through this vendor is on the registration page. Participants can also check out books from the library or buy digital copies for their tablets.
Can I join if I don’t live in Indiana?
Of course! Our book club meets each Thursday on Zoom at 7 p.m. ET.
Can you tell me more about the in person meet up?
The in person meet up is an opportunity for local book club participants to meet and connect in person. Many people have developed friendships with other book club members.
